I just loved seeing the fields of potato blossoms on our trip to P.E.I.
But my blossom are missing something…….that lovely aromatic scent….my kind of …well ~stink!  Maybe it’s a different variety?!?!

A Yorkie ~ named Mitsy as come to live at our little cottage, she likes to help tend the herbs…

The job she likes best is keeping the chives trimmed...

One taste...I mean trimming of the nasturtium and she decided they look best when left to grow...

One taste…I mean trimming of the nasturtium and she decided they look best when left to grow… Which makes me happy, because I find the leaves, buds and flower to be quite tasty. I love their light spiciness, they are a wonderful addition to pesto!

Do you make pesto?? What kind? I like and make many different kinds of pesto. In the winter if I do not have an abundance of fresh basil I use spinach! I find it to be quite tasty!

 

You can just see the light green sprouts of the lovely chamomile just starting to pop out of the soil, in the top section of the my herb pot.  How does your garden grow??  Do you grow many herbs ?
